The city of Edinburgh
Edinburgh is the capital of Scotland. After London, it's the most visited city in the U.K. Cosmopolitan, exuberant and full of contrast. Its streets, culture and landmarks offer the visitor a fascinating insight into its rich history. Steeped in beauty and atmosphere, it captivates all who visit it.
The city is divided into two well-defined parts: The Old Town, with labyrinth like cobbled streets and narrow wynds and closes, and the New Town, built in the 18th century and often considered to be an urban planning masterpiece, with its elegant, Georgian architecture. The New Town along with the Old Town were designated a UNESCO World Heritage Sites in 1995.
Its rich and varied cultural life is reflected in its museums, art galleries, festivals and its world renowned University. Therefore it is hardly surprising that Edinburgh has been the home of distinguished citizens throughout history: philosophers such as David Hume, inventors like Alexander Graham Bell and writers like Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Robert Louis Stevenson and J.K Rowling.
Edinburgh is a small city (with only half a million inhabitants) and all of its tourist attractions are within walking distance. The city is well located and is within easy reach of the coast and the hills. This, along with the friendly and welcoming Edinburghers make it the perfect destination for a language immersion trip.
ENGLISH COURSE AND METHODOLOGY
The linguistic immersion of our Edinburgh Pack includes 12 hours of English classes that take place in a language school located in the New Town, delivered by trained native teachers with a wide experience of teaching English as a foreign language.

With our language immersion trips, you will enjoy immediate benefits that will boost your language skills considerably. Acquire new vocabulary, gain more confidence when speaking English, improve your communication skills and get motivated to learn a second language. The language courses are taught by native teachers with extensive experience and our cultural activities are organised to allow you to use these skills and take them forward in a natural context. This will let you acquire language more meaningfully and will give you the opportunity to really test your abilities.
Our courses are designed for people that have had previous contact with the language and who want to improve their language skills in an English environment whilst enjoying the Scottish culture. The result is total immersion, using the target language in its natural environment.
ACCOMMODATION
Our participants in the Edinburgh Pack have the option to choose their own place to stay according to their budget and preferences. Alternatively, accommodation can be booked with us. Our partner hotel is in the heart of the Old Town; a perfect location to take advantage of most city attractions.
All rooms have an en-suite bathroom. Breakfast is also included.

ACTIVITIES
Every afternoon and evening we plan different cultural and social immersion activities to practise English. We offer a taste of Scotland through more typically traditional activities. You will also have free time to discover the city for yourself.
Some of our activities are:
- Guided tour in the city and visit to the Castle
- Walking through the Royal Mile
- Discovering charming pubs
- Excursions to villages and towns: South Queensferry, North Berwick
- Ceilidh night (Traditional Scottish dance)
- Ghost tours
